EU framework contract manager

hydrophil iC GmbH is seeking a full-time Tender and Project Manager for consulting projects for the EU Commission, mainly in the water and environmental sectors (EC Framework Contracts). The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years work experience with strong written and spoken communication skills. Perfect English is essential. Fluency in additional languages is an asset.

The responsibilities of the position include:

Independent preparation of tenders for EC Framework Contracts according to standardized procedures, incl. e.g.
- interpretation of TORs and selection of suitable experts and composition of team
- further development of experts’ CVs with high responsiveness to the TORs
- preparation of financial proposal
Contract preparation and management vis-à-vis sub-contractor
Project Management for the successful implementation of projects, e.g.
- making travel arrangements – searching and booking of suitable flights, making hotel reservations, organizing visa for experts etc.
- assistance in the preparation of project meetings, workshops and seminars
- preparation of travel expense reports, assistance with the preparation of project invoices, project controlling support
- quality assurance of deliverables and reports
Collaboration with partner companies within the project consortium (esp. lead partner), participation at consortium meetings

The qualifications required are:
- Candidates should have more than 5 years work experience within a consulting company, agency or NGO in the water, environment or development cooperation sector;
- Experience in tender preparation would be an asset;
- Excellent working experience with internet search; proven outstanding experience with standard office software;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; competency in communicating with people of different cultural and geographical backgrounds in Africa, Asia, and Europe;
- Fluent in written and spoken English; Knowledge in additional languages (e.g. French) would be an asset;
- Experience of project management and administration;
- Ability to plan and work to deadlines; flexibility when working against a deadline.

The successful candidate will first receive training at the hydrophil iC office in Vienna over several weeks. Thereafter he/she will be stationed at the iC office in Sarajevo, but will closely collaborate with Vienna.
